Radiation Oncology & Imaging Division

The Radiation Oncology and Imaging Division, located at 801 New Road in Northfield, is a newly constructed (June 2008) 17,500 square foot facility, located at the corner of New Road and Jackson Avenue (across from Northfield’s Post Office), just two blocks south of our existing Medical Oncology Division.

Designed by S.J. Fenwick and Associates, architects and planners, the center’s external architecture is matched only by the magnificent décor, bold colors, and exquisite artwork that grace the interior. Patients receiving radiation therapy for cancer typically receive daily radiation treatments for 2 to 8 weeks, so the Nazha Cancer Center’s Radiation Oncology and Imaging Division is designed to be warm and inviting to maximize the patient’s comfort during their course of treatment.

The first step in the treatment of any ailment is to successfully diagnose the problem, so that a suitable treatment plan can be developed. That’s made easier by our GE DiscoveryTM VCT - PET/CT machine, the most advanced PET/CT scanner available. We have also installed a new Varian Trilogy™ Linear Accelerator for treating cancer and neurological lesions with intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT) and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS). The Trilogy system is the most powerful, precise, and versatile treatment system in the world.
